Your Truth

Your Truth
Your Truth is about the prejudices that people often have about another,
about stopping someone in a box based only on the appearance. In this
project I made four self portraits with small differences in clothing
and hair. I let people fill in surveys about these pictures, by people
I do not know. In these surveys are questions like: What is her origin?
What language does she speak? Does she do sports, which? The answers of
these surveys gave me a different identity for each picture. The answers
are summarized in a poem. Each poem stands for my identity in that
particular picture (the poems are written in Dutch).
